Brett and Mia purchased their first home this year in April, and since then have done an amazing amount of work to turn this 1960's Brick Veneer into a sustainable home. They purchased this house because of its good orientation- the living kitchen and bedroom are all north facing. A couple months ago I walked passed this home and noticed they had installed Solar hot water, then 4 weeks ago a 3kw Solar panel System. Brett and Mia have been busy out in the back yard as well they have removed the overgrown garden and have planted fruit trees and have a small chicken coup. And Brett has been busy this weekend puttting more insulation in the ceiling. They have many more plans such as installing water tanks and they are all ready working on their veggie garden, and will be removing many of the existing plans and replacing them with fruit trees and native plants. Brett and Mia are an inspiration to all who meet them with their commitment and hard work their home will nearly be completed, all in a few short months.
