Environment House
Environment House is a community-run eco-shop and sustainable living advisory centre. We recently moved from a shop in Maylands to this little Council-owned 60’s house, next to lake and river.
We’ve had a bit of sponsorship to put in some eco-features including Marmoleum, Interflor carpet squares, Solatube, LED globes and fluoro tube replacement etc. Worm farms, compost bins and bokashi fermentation kitchen composting are all in action on site.
Lots of eco-products including books and Heavy Duty and Lite Power-Mates (accurate versatile power meters) and great range of free info on sustainable living, building, cleaning, etc.
OPEN (including shop) on Sustainable House Day 2009. (Normal hours 10-4 Sats only – other times by arrangement)
