This resort style home is an owner/builder designed complex that maintains the integrity of the environment yet brings the convenience of modern day living together.
The layout of the property consists of three pavilions arranged around a courtyard area that has an 11metre swimming pool, this in a lush tropical setting. Each pavilion is connected with covered walkways. The local fauna give their obvious approval of the development. They visit daily and bring friendliness for treats.
The east pavilion (morning sun) houses the master bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet and study/craft/ room.
The main/north pavilion houses the living, dining, family room, kitchen, and utilities area with a separate toilet/basin.
The west pavilion facing east, (morning sun) houses two spacious guest/bed studio type rooms, each of these having their own ensuite bathroom and kitchenette.
All rooms have unique features that set them quite apart. They also have separate deck access to the pool, allowing for ‘al fresco’ entertainment.
Reuse of the existing 3 car garage as an entrance breeze way, office and a single lock up garage/storage area as well as the existing 4 car carport, retains some of the past.
The owner’s commitment to the environment is displayed in various ways, not the least in the conscious decision to be self sufficient, eco friendly and provide the electrical needs and hot water of the complex by way of ‘solar panels’, together with own water storage and onsite sewerage treatment system. Simply put this means ‘treading very lightly on the earth’.
